Most lawns don't fail overnight. They thin out slowly - bare patches here, uneven ground there - until one day you look out and the whole yard just looks tired. That's exactly the situation we were dealing with here. Worn-out turf that had run its course, combined with grading issues that were making drainage a real problem.

Before we laid a single piece of sod, we tore out the old stuff completely and regraded the yard. This step matters more than most people realize. You can put the nicest sod in the world down on a poorly graded yard and it'll still look rough - and drain even worse. Getting the ground level and properly sloped first is what sets everything else up to succeed.

Once the prep work was done, we installed premium sod across the entire front yard. The result is that smooth, consistent look you'd expect from a well-maintained property. No patchy spots. No uneven bumps. Just clean, dense turf from the sidewalk all the way up to the foundation.

The cool thing about sod installation done right is that it works on multiple levels at once. Curb appeal jumps immediately. Drainage improves. And you get a healthy root system that's far more resistant to weeds than a thin, struggling lawn. A solid lawn fertilization and weed control plan after installation keeps that fresh turf locked in for the long haul.

If your yard is patchy, uneven, or just not bouncing back no matter what you do, a full sod replacement might be exactly what it needs. Sometimes starting fresh is the smartest move you can make for your property.
